Getting Used to Home

Current favorite pasttimes are napping, eating and diaper changes. I have a little friend who seems to need her diaper changed as often as I do. I like to stare at her when I'm on my change table.
Napping in my bassinet.

Welcome Kayleigh Estelle!

Kayleigh Estelle came into the world on July 1 at 11:29 AM. She weighed 8 lbs, 8 ounces and is 21 inches long (takes after Dad in height). Our journey started the morning of the 30th with my water breaking but no labor signs. We headed to the hospital around 10 and they started inducing labor around 1 PM. We labored for about 10 hours before deciding that an epidural would give me a chance to sleep (since we weren't making much progress even with the induction). We labored (although I was able to sleep) for another 10 hours and then (yay!!) began to push. About an hour into that, the Dr. started to see some worrying trends in Kayleigh's heart rate and decided that a C-section was the safest way to go. Sooo, we had a healthy (lungs perfectly healthy) baby with high APGARs on July 1st and were discharged to home on July 5th.
